Noire: A Campus Ministry for Brown Girls, Georgetown University

As raymond said ... roller coaster ride to our thank you letter was created to provide a common space for wome of color can comment back in th presence of god together noir is for all women who don't have a safe space to proclaim the word of god amongst others by phone to tell us more a student leader just one brown will the show.

Thanks so much for joinin us for having me.

So tell us more about this ministry becaus you just hearing your studio alarms went okay what is ... well you are an opportunity on campus.

We can created it month ago to be a ministry where a browns grove all women of color could come in just commune together and talk about together the community for black stains and all other women of color all christians on campus to just have faith and the amazing thing is that it even brought you know people are side of those who we cater to for the ministry.

Social and all things be on campus ... and inspiration.

What drove you guys want to create this initiative.

Am i am being on campus were like you kind of missing something like that a lot of my rent come from black background lecture to so we wanted to have faith in the you know, kind of brought the same energy that were used two from our church and i know that overgrown use.

You want to go from that background, we though of the auction just to bring something like that here just said is opened this up just a while ago house and so forth and had movie night.

So far we had the opening ceremony thing kind of like a worship by word many people across campus came about 40 people all that stuff but able to commune together and we had a bible buddy have had people come in busy around there so we a few numbers but we been able to have intimate conversation is really called the conversational campus which has an amazing sleeveless or host any long-term honestly hop people gain ... people gain weight where they can have community and also about how the can create community.

Their self places that they be done with new art and just want to do other thing on campus like ... sore college in general on campus, meeting people, meeting people like you.

What's not been like for people to have a place where you can meet others that are coming from the same background ... amazing funny because i'm graduating with my lack week of my senior year and to be able t meet girls who know i don't get to see you very much long-term because i'm about to leave to to talk to them and get to know them.

It should been amazing to create a ministry where people can come and eat and i've been able to meet so many new people on campus because of the ministry and i've been benefited by the picture is a great way to see the fellowship of going on there at the college but little bit more to him is a just open first doing certain staff or even people from the public take part ... i'm having a woman night in our chat 7 pm tomorrow and we've invited all women faculty aroun campus.

The calm commune with the other person that we had women faculty there so it opens the open all women just one.
