Purdue and nebraska squared off this afternoon for purdue's senior day... west lafayette native and central catholic grad jackson anthrop one of the seniors honored this afternoon..

Rondale moore also going through what will probably be his last game at ross-ade stadium..

And this was a terrible start to the game for purdue..

After a three and out..

Nebraska blocks brenden cropsey's punt..

And the huskers recover on the purdue one yard line..

A play later..

Dedrick mills pounds it in and the score is 7-0 nebraska..

Scott frost's team not done there..

Later in the opening quarter..

Adrian martinez dropping back..

Nobody is open..

But number 2 slips free..

Makes a couple of moves and he dives in for a score..

Nebraska up 14-0..

They'd extend the lead to 17 before a jd dellinger fieldgoal..

Fans inside ross-ade stadium not happy with the start..

Purdue finally able to respond in the second quarter..

The boilers down 20-10..

Nebraska comes right back..

That score puts nebraska up 34-13..

Late in the third quarter..

Fourth quarter..

Plummer lays out a beauty of a ball to guess who..

Bell goes 89 yards to the house..

Purdue climbs all the way back to within 7 points..

But it's not enough..

Purdue drops its fourth straight game..

37-27 the final..

Jeff brohm: well we tried to fix it this past week and unfortunately came out and got off to a bad start and couldn't get out of the hole.

You've got to continue to work through it, you've got identify all the problems that you have.

I don't know what all the penalties were but we had numerous holding penalties that negated big plays and some things that happened.

And then we had some dumb penalties on defense after the whistle that can never happen.
