Baptist Health first vaccine 12.14.20

Baptist Health also received their first shipment of vaccines today.

Vaccine.jpg the university of louisville hospital was one of three hospitals in the state to receive the vaccines.

Like u-of-l hospital... the medical center at bowling green and baptist health also received 975 doses today.

High-risk healthcare workers were given first priority for the first shipment.

Baptist health says a member of housekeeping, an i- c-u physician, a nurse, an emergency room nursing assistant, and an emergency department physician were the first five of its employees to receive doses of the vaccine.

One of those... an i- c-u nurse... says everyone should be encouraged and ready to get vaccinated when they can.

The director of pharmacy at the hospital says this is a turning point for the battle against covid-19....instead of playing defense they can start taking a strong ofensive stand point.

U-k healthcare says it expects to receive its shipment tomorrow.
