Three terrorists were killed in an encounter near Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar on December 30.
The operation began on December 29 evening when security forces received intelligence about terrorists hiding in a building.
Major General HS Sahi, GOC, Kilo Force, said that the terrorists were planning a big attack.
He said that all appeals to the terrorists to surrender were met with gunfire and grenades.
