He is 92 years old and lives in orland.

A few weeks ago he filmed an ad which aired on national television."

(byron denton:) "they're out there at 7:24 delivering mail under the adverse conditions."

I met dentonÃand his wifeÃof 40 plus years& carolyn.

Denton says postal workers deserve more recognition - he points to their work*an* the scrutinty they faced - during this year's election.

(byron denton:) "the postal system is the most secure system there is we do everything by mail.

Most of the people that work in the post office are dedicated people."

Including denton.

He hasn't always been a postal worker.

Before he began his postal career in the late 60sÃhe made missiles, delivered milk and sold electronics!

(byron denton:) "i got laid off one time."

Now, years later& denton is still involved with the american postal workers union.

What message does he want people to take away from the ad?

(byron denton:) "don't buy your stamps at the drug store.

Go to the post office and make it the finest thing that you could ever make, because if you lose it you'll never get it back."

Denton worked as a postal worker at a southern california city named "la mesa" - he retired from there in 1988.

Then shortly afterwards he and his wife moved to orland.
