Officers say rosales' transmission went out and the car died.
But rosales kept going.

Haskins:) "he exited, hopped a few fences and got to a couple of back yards before laying down on a field and again with the helicopter we were able to keep an eye on him... he was just laying down trying to blend in with the grass."
(standup:) "right now rosales is in the butte county jail, facing charges of d-u-i and reckless evading.
