Police officers in northern China freed a wild Siberian roe deer trapped in guardrails.

The video, filmed in the county of Huma in Heilongjiang Province on June 24, shows a wild Siberian roe deer trapped in between some guardrails and struggling to escape.

Police officers used ropes to fix the deer’s four legs first to avoid it from hurting itself.

They then slowly removed the animal from the railings.

The male Siberian roe deer is a national second-class protected animal.

Fortunately, it only suffered minor scratches and police treated the wound for it before releasing it back into the wild.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
