Glue traps are the most inhumane, cruel devices you could possibly use, because they trap ANY unintended small animal that comes into contact with them.
These kinds of traps don't always catch rats and mice.
Often, they end up killing lizards, snakes, and small birds, like finches and sparrows, that find their way inside of the same spaces to take refuge from the cold or make nests.
Just days ago, I even saw a video of an OWL who was in starving and unable to fly, all because he had a glue trap stuck to the feathers of his right wing, and that was enough to keep him from being able to fly - which in turn caused him to be unable to hunt and eat.
He was likely going after a rodent he found on the glue board, when he himself got ensnared by it.
Most animals starve or die of dehydration very slowly over days or even weeks until they finally die.
This snake, by all appearances, was likely stuck on this board for 1-2 weeks.
Please, don't be a F-ing asshole.
DON'T use glue traps.
Only uncaring assholes use glue traps.
If you need to trap rats or mice, I highly recommend The Ratinator live trap, and other size traps by the same company.
They are incredibly effective, without being cruel.
