Evacuees face freezing temperatures and power cuts in Bucha, Ukraine

Evacuees who have fled Russian-occupied cities in the east are facing freezing temperatures and power cuts in temporary housing in Bucha.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s Current Time spoke to Ukrainian evacuees living in temporary modular housing in the Kyiv suburb.

Correspondent Yulia Khukova said blackouts have left the accommodation with no heating at times.

She said there was no power supply Bucha for over a day after the most recent Russian strikes.

One evacuee said her children were suffering from fever, while another said people slept in sweaters and hats.

Constant changes in temperature and a lack of ventilation have caused a mold problem, Current Times reported.
