Former Metropolitan Police officer David Carrick has pleaded guilty to 49 offences, including rape and false imprisonment, against 12 victims over 17 years.
Speaking outside court on Monday, Jaswant Narwa from the CPS said it was "one of the most shocking cases the Crown Prosecution Service has dealt with involving a serving police officer".
