Acts 2:1-2
Acts 2:1-2

Acts 2:1-2 states, "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting." This verse is describing the event of Pentecost, which is considered one of the most important events in the early Christian church.

On this day, the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, giving them the power to speak in tongues and perform other miracles as they preached the gospel.

The "violent wind" and "tongues of fire" that appeared are often seen as symbols of the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit.

This event marks the birth of the Christian church and the beginning of the spread of Christianity throughout the world.
