Snoopy, the Curie Institute's new canine recruit, delights patients and carers

He soothes patients in the waiting room, puts smiles on their faces before an anxiety inducing treatment, and makes them temporarily forget about cancer: Snoopy, the new "recruit" at the Curie Institute in Paris is a dog that also creates links between the carers.

"It's a way of bringing a kind of humanity into the hospital," explains Isabelle Fromantin, the nurse-researcher in charge of the team.
