Florida court issues temporary block of Biden’s migrant parole policy

U.S. District Judge T.

Kent Wetherell granted a temporary restraining order on a Biden administration policy that would release migrants from the custody of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection without court notices.

The CPB was planning to release some of the 28,000 migrants in custody without court dates due to the strain on border facilities.

The federal judge’s ruling, issued shortly before Title 42 expired at midnight on Thursday, is set to expire in 14 days.
