Reddit Hackers Want , $4.5 Million Ransom.
Ransomware group BlackCat claims to be responsible for the phishing attack on the platform in February, The Verge reports.
The hackers say they stole 80GB of data and will release it to the public unless their demands are met.
In addition to wanting $4.5 million, the group is demanding that Reddit doesn't implement API pricing changes.
Third-party app developers will soon be charged potentially millions of dollars per year.
Those upcoming changes prompted protests and blackouts last week.
Previously, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman said the company intends to follow through with the changes.
