Laurence St-Germain wins women's slalom gold at worlds, ending decades-long drought for Canada

Laurence St-Germain of Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges, Que., won gold in women's slalom at the alpine world championships Saturday in Meribel, France. American star Mikaela Shiffrin, with two medals at this year's event, took silver.
