A tornado has torn roofs off homes and damaged properties across Armidale in northern NSW, and has become the second tornado to hit the state in two weeks. The “unprecedented weather event” hit the regional city at about 10pm on Thursday, State Emergency Services spokesman David Rankin said. Sydney was battered by multiple “very dangerous” storms that rolled through the city on Thursday afternoon, producing large hail and areas of flash flooding.
