ACLU files suit against Maricopa County Sheriff over medically vulnerable pretrial detainees

The American Civil Liberties Union filed a class action lawsuit against the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office this week, seeking greater medical protections for incarcerated people at risk of contracting Covid-19 in Arizona jails.
