Exxon Mobil, Pfizer Exit Dow Jones Industrial Average

The S&P Dow Jones Indices has announced a major shakeup in the components of the Dow Jones Industrial Average or DJIA. The changes in the 30-member benchmark index are effective before the market opens for trading on Monday, August 31. Three new companies will now join the blue-chip index. Salesforce.com will replace oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp., while Amgen Inc. will replace drug major Pfizer Inc.
