GlobeX Data in talks to circulate its security and privacy solutions through Canadian IT software distributor

GlobeX Data Ltd (CSE:SWIS) (OTCQB:SWISF), the cyber security and privacy solutions provider, said on Monday that it has reached the “final stages” of signing a distribution deal in Canada for its SekurSafe and Sekur solutions. The Toronto-based tech company said the distribution deal is being worked out with a NYSE-listed company's Canada division. “For this reason, the name of the distributor will remain confidential until the agreement has been executed by both parties,” the company said in a statement. GlobeX expects the agreement to be completed in the next two weeks. The group has been working over the past several months to launch its cybersecurity and Internet privacy solutions with several distributors in Canada and the US. READ: GlobeX Data says Mexico's largest telecom operator to sell SekurMessenger to corporate and mass markets The new distribution agreement “will cover all of Canada, and will expose GlobeX's security solutions to over 11,000 resellers in Canada alone,”  GlobeX Data said. The company has been working with Toronto reseller, Darn IT Group, in order to facilitate this distribution agreement. “Darn IT Group will be involved in the implementation and training of the resellers nationwide,” the firm noted. Sekur is the firm’s Swiss hosted secure communications suite, which includes encrypted messaging and voice recording transfer with a self-destruct timer, an encrypted email account and a secure file transfer solution. It includes the company's latest SekurMail technology, which includes proprietary anti-phishing and a privacy feature called SekurSend. SekurSend lets a user send an email to any recipient, whether they have Sekur or not in complete privacy. Significantly, the mail never leaves Sekur's encrypted email servers in Switzerland. In addition, the recipient can reply using SekurReply, without having to register for a Sekur email account. The sender can also protect an email by adding a password to open it, a read-limit, and a self-destruct timer. “One of the many privacy and security features of Sekur is that the user does not register with their phone number, eliminating a huge loophole in security and privacy,” GlobeX Data pointed out. Phone numbers have been a big security flaw in recent months. WhatsApp now claims it has fixed an issue that was showing users’ phone numbers in Google search results. The change comes after security researcher Athul Jayaram revealed that phone numbers of WhatsApp users who used the Click to Chat feature were being indexed in search. “Sekur eliminates many of the privacy and security risks by not only not requiring a phone number, which would divulge a user's phone device ID, but also by not social engineering a user's phone or computer contact list and infecting the contacts by default as well,” said GlobeX Data Sekur, instead, issues each user a username and an SM number. The SM number is the contact ID a user would disclose in order for other SM users to be added, said the company.
