Sensex zooms 529 points; Nifty ends near 13,750

Equity indices surged for the third straight session on Thursday with the benchmark BSE sensex rising over 500 points led by gains in banking and financial services. The 30-share BSE index surged 529 points or 1.14 per cent to close at 46,974; while the broader NSE Nifty settled 148 points or 1.09 per cent higher at 13,749.
