Smucker’s Buys Twinkie Owner Hostess Brands for $5.6 Billion

J.M. Smucker, the maker of jellies, Jif peanut butter and Uncrustables, agreed to take over Hostess Brands, adding Twinkies, Ho Hos and Ding Dongs to its portfolio of snacks.
