Virus death toll in Brazil rises to more than 15,000The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Brazil has soared to over 230,000, surpassing that of Spain and Italy which were once the epicentre of the pandemic, and making Brazil's outbreak the fourth largest in the world according to official figures. The country's death toll has also risen past 15,000 according to official data.
