Wednesday, 15 April 2020 Sanitiser was born on Sunday in a hospital and his mother Monika said that as soon as her husband announced that his son would be named 'Sanitiser, all medical staff started smiling.

According to the state health department, mumber of active cases stands at 87,681. Recovery rate among the patients is 54.37%. Being the second worst-hit state in the country, confirmed cases in Tamil Nadu is over 1 lakh. Tamil Nadu reported 61 deaths and 3,827 new COVID-19 positive cases on July 06. The state health department reported that the total number of positive cases stands at 1,14,978 including 46,833 active cases and 1,571 deaths. Being the third most affected state, COVID-19 cases crossed 1 lakh mark in Delhi, with 1379 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. Total number of cases stands at 1,00,823 including 72,088 recovered/discharged/migrated and 25,620 active cases. 48 deaths reported today; the death toll is at 3,115. In the last 24 hours, 933 new COVID-19 positive cases and 24 deaths have been reported in Uttar Pradesh. Where several states in the country are witnessing increase in the COVID-19 cases, Ladkah reported decrease in the number of positive cases. 10 patients were cured and discharged in Ladakh and active case drop to 168. 3 more personnel of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. There are total 151 active cases and 273 have recovered till date.
The body of a COVID-19 positive person was laid to rest using JCB machine in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati. The body was laid to rest in a pit using a proclainer with family's consent on July 05. The weight of body was over 175 kg. While speaking to media, the Commissioner of Tirupati Municipal Corporation, PS Girisha said, "The body weighed over 175 kg, so the proclainer was used with family's consent. But such an incident won't be repeated" There are over 10,000 active cases of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh.
Police officials put up posters of history-sheeter Vikas Dubey in UP's Lakhimpur district on July 06. He is the main accused in Kanpur encounter which took place on July 03 in Bikaru village. Police is doing joint patrolling with team of forest officials and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) to nab Vikas Dubey soon. Devotees in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut offered prayers to lord Shiva from outside the Augarnath Temple on the on first Monday of Sawan month. According to the priest of the temple, the doors of temple are closed for the people since the starting of the COVID-19 lockdwon. Augarnath Temple has been following the imposition of the lockdown in the backdrop of COVID-19 scare. Usually crowd of worshipers flock the temple, however it wore a deserted look this morning. Devotees flocked to the temple and prayed to lord Shiva from outside the temple.
Police in YamunaNagar on May 17 had to resort to lathi-charge in an attempt to disperse migrant labourers. The labourers created ruckus and blocked traffic at Saharanpur highway while demanding to go back to their home state.

Police officials and Rapid Action Force (RAF) were deployed at the site in order to maintain the law and order situation in Saharanpur. There are total 4057 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 53,035 with 2752 deaths in India. While speaking to ANI, the Divisional Commissioner of Saharanpur, Sanjay Kumar said, "We are sending them by buses till Bihar border. We are also coordinating with different district authorities there for their return."
