Tamil Nadu CM announces Rs 1,116.97 crore relief to 11.63 lakh farmers affected by crop damage

Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday announced a relief of Rs 1,116.97 crore, under input subsidy head, towards damages meted out to agricultural and horticultural crops in January rains. An inter-ministerial central team will visit the state on February 3, 4 and 5 and assess the damage in the affected districts to report to the Centre for assistance.
