Under BJP fire, govt shunts Waze; he’s not Osama, says CM Uddhav

A day after an aggressive opposition demanded action against assistant police inspector Sachin Waze for his alleged involvement in the Mansukh Hiran murder case, the MVA government gave in and transferred Waze from the crime intelligence unit on Wednesday. Speaking for the first time on the controversy, CM Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday defended the official and the government’s reluctance to act against him.
