Covid-19 in India: New cases fall to 2.59 lakh, deaths still above 4,000

India on Friday reported a total of 2,59,551 new Covid-19 cases, a drop from over 2.76 lakh recorded a day ago, according to the updated data released by the Union health ministry. With this, the country's total coronavirus case tally has gone up to 26,031,991.
