Floods: Landslide snaps road, rail connectivity in northeast; Class XI exams cancelled in Assam

The flood situation in northeast India continues to remain grim on Tuesday, with heavy rainfall and landslides affecting lives in Assam, parts of Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur. Assam is reeling under floods with around two lakh people in 20 districts having been affected so far. Two flood-related deaths have been reported, while another five persons have died in landslides in the current wave of floods.
