Covid-19: India reports 2,208 new cases and 12 deaths in last 24 hours

With 2,208 new coronavirus infections being reported in a day, India's total tally of Covid-19 cases rose to 4,46,49,088, according to the Union health ministry data updated on Friday. The death toll climbed to 5,28,999 with 12 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours. The country's active Covid-19 cases declined to 19,398, according to the health ministry data.
