India reports 1,604 new Covid-19 cases, 8 deaths in 24 hours

India has reported 1,604 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, Union health ministry data released on Sunday stated. The country has also recorded eight more Covid-related deaths, including three reconciled by Kerala. The active caseload presently stands at 18,317.
