Resentment is growing in Raipur after the Congress party released its second candidate list for the upcoming assembly elections. Supporters of Raipur mayor Aijaz Dhebar staged protests, with one even attempting self-immolation, which was stopped by the police. Dhebar's supporters are demanding a ticket for him in either the Raipur South or Raipur North seats.
