A new museum called "The Hump WWII Museum" is being prepared to open in Arunachal Pradesh, India. The museum will house the recovered remnants of US aircraft that were lost in the eastern Himalayas during World War II. The aircraft were part of a large airlift operation known as "The Hump," which transported supplies to the Chinese resistance fighting the Japanese. The museum project is being led by CM Pema Khandu, and the state government plans to invite the US ambassador to India for the inauguration.
