Rajasthan's Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, is making a resolute effort to keep the current MLAs, including the veteran politicians, in the forthcoming elections. He is reported to have engaged in an intense conversation with Rahul Gandhi, who was in favor of considering fresh candidates in Monday's brainstorming session on candidate selection. During the meeting, which lasted approximately four hours, approximately 65 names received approval, while the remaining 30 seats will be discussed on the following day. Earlier, the Congress had unveiled three shortlists comprising 95 candidates.
