Before polls, TMC reaffirms support for Mahua Moitra with post

Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has been appointed as the leader of the party's Krishnanagar district unit in an organisational overhaul ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This move signifies strong support from the party's leadership and aims to optimize leadership and structure in key regions. Moitra, who previously headed the party's unit in Nadia district, succeeds Kallol Khan. Additionally, jailed leader Anubrata Mondal has been replaced as head of the Birbhum district unit, with a core committee overseeing party affairs in the district.
