The Rajasthan assembly elections recorded a voter turnout of more than 68% by 5pm. The overall polling was peaceful with only a few incidents of violence. The Election Commission aimed for a minimum 75% turnout in each constituency. The highest voter turnout was in Jaisalmer district, followed by Hanumangarh and Dholpur districts. This direct contest between the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP is crucial for both parties ahead of the Lok Sabha polls next year.
