Kerala Police have registered a case against state Congress chief K Sudhakaran, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly V D Satheesan, and other Congress leaders in connection with the violence during the party's protest. The violence in Thiruvananthapuram resulted in suffocation and hospitalization of senior Congress leaders. The case was registered under various provisions of the IPC, including rioting and obstructing roads. The protest was organized by the KPCC to highlight police atrocities against its workers during their agitation.
