The government denies reports of trying to soften Apple's threat warning alert about possible attempts by “state-sponsored attackers”. The ministry of electronics and IT insists that it is Apple's responsibility to explain the vulnerability of their devices. Apple was asked to join an enquiry with CERT-In and meetings have been held. Amnesty International and Washington Post investigation reveals journalists Siddharth Varadarajan and Anand Mangnale were targeted with Pegasus spyware on their iPhones.
