PM Modi, French President Macron back two-state solution to end West Asia crisis

PM Modi and President Emmanuel Macron strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Israel on 7 October and expressed solidarity with the people of Israel in a joint statement issued after the meeting. The two leaders also stressed the urgent need for the reform of the United Nations Security Council and called for the early commencement of text-based negotiations at the Intergovernmental Negotiations (IGN) in UN. France reiterated its firm support for India's permanent membership of the UNSC.
