"Former NFL Players deserve well-informed, competent representation as well as a fair and timely process. The Lawyer Committee will help identify the day to day challenges and deliberate roadblocks that keep us from this goal."

Ken Jenkins, former NFL player and Chair, Player Advocacy Committee

The PAC reviewed applications from numerous attorneys and recommended applicants based on their ongoing commitment to former players, their ability to identify crucial issues impacting the Settlement, and their capacity to work collaboratively with Class Counsel, the PAC, and other constituents.

The Lawyer Committee will initially be comprised of JR Wyatt Law PLLC, Shenaq PC, Langfitt PLLC, and Myers & Flowers LLC, and will aim to address key challenges faced by former NFL players, including:

· Identifying and Improving Core Competencies: The Lawyer Committee will pool expertise to identify and establish essential competencies for effective representation of former NFL players, staying abreast of legal developments and scientific developments as it relates to neurological diseases, case precedents, and industry best practices.
· Collaborating Across Law Firms: Recognizing the importance of cross-firm collaboration, the Lawyer Committee will serve as a resource for attorneys representing players to address issues that may arise during the legal representation of former players, ensuring a comprehensive and unified approach. Lisa Reppert at Reppert Kelly & Vytell LLC and Mickey Washington at Washington & Associates, PLLC have agreed to work as ex officio members to the Lawyers Committee to help with player issues in an advisory capacity.
· Creating Continuity: The Lawyer Committee will strive to create continuity of expertise over the course of the Settlement, which is set to last for over 50 years.
· Working with the PAC: The Lawyer Committee is committed to collaborating seamlessly with the PAC. Together, they will ensure a holistic and streamlined approach to addressing issues that will hopefully lead to improved outcomes for former NFL players.

Justin Wyatt of JR Wyatt Law PLLC, one of the attorneys selected to lead the new Lawyer Committee stated, "This collaborative initiative reflects our shared commitment to supporting former NFL players in their pursuit of justice. By joining forces, attorneys from various firms can contribute diverse perspectives and resources, creating a powerful network for positive change."
