Heavy rain, wind expected Wednesday in Seattle as first taste of fall

With the smoke from nearby wildfires finally cleared out of Seattle, fall can officially begin! And you may want to break out that rain jacket sooner rather than later, as rain and wind gusts are expected starting this Wednesday through the end of the week as the first taste of the season. The National Weather Service predicts that a strong weather system will move into Western Washington starting Wednesday, bringing heavy rain during the day. Seattle is expected to see 1 to 1.5 inches of rain on Wednesday, while areas closer to the coast such as Forks and  Hurricane Ridge may see up to 3 inches alone.
