Doctors hope highly contagious BA.2 variant doesn't delay Island's recovery

The variant, believed to be more contagious than the original omicron variant, is spreading rapidly in parts of Northern Europe, and three cases have been registered in Texas, said Dr. Bruce Farber of Northwell Health.
