President Trump’s embattled personal attorney Michael Cohen making his most astonishing claim of defense yet.
????Cohen, who’s been accused by Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti of potential bank fraud, firing back insisting some of that supposed evidence leveled against him is being confused with another, different Michael Cohen.????In a letter to the U.S. district judge overseeing the criminal investigation into Cohen, his lawyers accused Avenatti of publishing quote “numerous incorrect statements to the public in an apparent attempt to prejudice and discredit Mr. Cohen.”????“Any response to Avenatti?
His document is inaccurate.”????Avenatti claims Cohen was paid $500,000 by a Putin-connected Russian oligarch who later became a reported subject of the special counsel’s probe.
Those funds allegedly given to Cohen in the months following Trump’s election win.
????Big businesses too, also confirmed they paid Cohen for insight on Trump including AT&T, pharmaceutical giant Novartis, Russian-linked investment firm Columbus Nova, and Korea Aerospace Industries, in excess of $1.2 million according to Business Insider.????Avenatti alleging Cohen has been selling access to the president.????But Cohen’s lawyers argue at least five of those wire transfers were linked to a different Cohen.
But Avenatti, holding fast tweeting, “[Cohen’s lawyers] fail to address, let alone contradict, 99% of the statements in what we released.”
