Tesla's General Counsel Resigns
According to Reuters, Tesla's top lawyer has resigned after two months.
Dane Butswinkas was initially brought into Tesla's circle last Fall, when he represented Tesla's CEO Elon Musk in a legal dispute with the SEC.
Butswinkas joined Tesla officially in December, serving as the company's general counsel, and reporting directly to Musk.
But the 57-year-old will return to his legal practice in Washington DC as a trial lawyer with the firm Williams & Connolly.
In the mean time, Jonathan Chang will serve as Tesla's general counsel.
Chang is the vice president of legal department, and has worked at Tesla since 2011.
