Arrest made for death of Dennis Day

There's been day went missing.

But his family and friends like sylvia mcrae have been determined to find answers.

Sylvia says: "it's been a labor of love."

They created a facebook page back in november called help us find dennis day which has grown to more than 16 hundred members.

Day's body was found in april sylvia says: "that was the beginning of closure.

I expected it.

Long before then."

Yesterday the page was changed to friends of dennis and ernie, named after him and his husband and now, 36-year old daniel james burda has been arrested for his death.

Mcrae says burda was a handyman that did work in exchange for housing.

He's currently in the jackson county jail and faces a host of charges, including manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and abuse of a corpse.

Sylvia says: "it's a confirmation of my instincts i'm waiting to hear for the investigation to conclude and to hear what really happened and what the story line is because i have one in my head."

Mcrae knows an arrest isn't the end to this nightmare, but says now friends and family are one step closer to it.

Sylvia says: "and somewhere on whatever plane he now resides i think dennis is smiling."
