"Glasses Are Forbidden" Hashtag Trending In Japan
The Washington Post reports that the "glasses are forbidden" hashtag is trending on Twitter in Japan.
According to Business Insider, the hashtag trend is a result of two factors.
In October an article was published in Japan which surveyed over 1400 workers.
They found that women were being asked to NOT wear glasses at work for aesthetic reasons.
Some suggested it gave them a "cold impression." 2.
The article follows the early 2019 start of the #KuToo movement.
