Tourism in Southeast Asia's Golden Triangle is declining due to coronavirus fears

The Golden Triangle, where the borders of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet, is receiving fewer visitors due to coronavirus fears.

Chinese tourists who make up the vast majority are staying away or cannot get there due to vast amounts of communities being in lockdown.

The popular casinos across the Mekong river are reportedly closed.

Laos Immigration is denying entry by boat and most river traffic is freight destined for Myanmar.

Tourists who do come are typically on a day trip and don't stay more than a few hours.
