As the plan to reopen parts of the tri- state continues -- local restaurants are beginning the process.

44news reporter andrew garcia shows us what you*could expect heading back to your favorite place to grab a bite to eat this week.

As part of governor holcomb's plan to reopen the state of indiana, starting monday, restaurants can allow customers back into their establishments at 50 percent capacity.

We had to separate all the tables and chairs, no more than 6 people at a table.

And make sure everything is clean and sanitized and as people leave we've got to re- clean and sanitize, the main thing is we want to get everybody safe and get all of my people safe so we can get through this.

And as social distancing guidelines remain in effect, bush and his staff have a plan to make sure food and other items are safely distributed to customers the servers will be coming out and they'll be having their mask and their gloves on and doing everything properly.

If you use regular silverware, you have to have gloves and wrap it and all that or, you can use plastic.

But everything they are telling us to do we're making sure we do it all.

As the reopening plan progresses, ownership is taking every precaution possible to keep people safe as more patrons begin to enter restaurants.

My staff is all going to be here, we're going to sit down and have a little talk, conversation about what we need to do and what we don't need to do while making sure we don't have too many people in here at one time.

We make sure we clean everything and do everything we can to keep people safe.

Everybody's going to have to know when they come in there's no seating at the bar, no standing at the bar so you can sit at the tables and like i said no more than 6 people at a table and everybody just needs to use a little common sense during these times.

This first month is going to be critical because we don't want to get a spike.

So we're going to try to talk to all of them and make sure they know, let's all stay seated and not get in too big of groups and just follow guidelines.
