Mayo clinic along with plasma companies and healthcare groups are hoping tens of thousands of covi?19 survivors across the ?s..

And right here in rochester..

Will participate in this effort to save lives.

The campaign wants to recruit coronoavirus survivors within two months of their recovery with the hope their plasma donation will help patients during the anticipated increase in cases this fall.

The survivors would donate plasma containing critical antibodies that fought off the disease for transfusions.

The ultimate hope is that healthcare leaders develop a therapy to fight the deadly virus.

<we need to have this precious resource available because there will be a second wave.

We may not see it until the fall but we need to replenish our reserves to get this as the best treatment option for these patients.
