Indiana will move to stage 4 of the 'back on track plan' beginning tomorrow.

A move that's creating a lot of excitement.

News 10's dominic miranda has reaction from business owners around the wabash valley.

Stage 4 of indiana governor eric holcomb's reopening plan is coming 2 days ahead of schedule.

More businesses will be able to open...and gatherings will be able to be larger.

As you can imagine...this is great for business.

I spoke with a couple different businesses who told me how excited they are to see the light at the end of the covid-19 tunnel.

People were walking all over the haute city center thursday afternoon.

On friday...governor holcomb's stage four of the back on track reopening plan will take effect.

Malls... like the haute city center... and retail stores can be at full capacity.

Manager of tradehome shoes in the mall sean jackson says this is a great feeling.

They were closed for about 2 months during the pandemic.

He believes this will absolutely increase foot traffic in their store.

Restaurants can also open up to 75 percent capacity as a part of stage 4.

Owner of 5th street nutrition in terre haute blake kramer says he's most excited to interact with their customers.

They saw a nearly 40 percent decrease in sales....and had to cutback some employee's hours.

Both men say it's a great feeling to get back to some normalcy.

"it makes a difference you know we've had to take a lot of precautions in here.

We've had to keep people separated--and we'll continue to do that but with the foot traffic it's huge.

We're seeing a lot of people coming through.

"we were really worried about maybe it lasting the whole year.

And now just like a couple months later we see the light at the end of the tunnel."

Both men told me this is another great step to improve the economy here in the wabash valley.

In terre haute.

I'm dominic miranda.
