The owner says she's been here for years but never expected anything like this berdine chappel/owner of hair tique salon: i don't think most people do..... the second shutdown i kind of expected it just didn't know when.

Kristian stand up: chappel says she was*right her* working on a clients hair when her phone started going off getting messages from friends and family letting her know there had been a second shutdown.

Chappel: it's kind of discouraging for the small business owner to keep trying to come back but i understand why we have to do it.

The closure comes as glenn county has been added to the governors states watchlist.... i was shocked that we were one of the areas that spread so quickly.

I never expected it for us here.

Kristian: are these businesses following those rules right now?

Laura medina/ glenn co public health: to our knowledge they are our local businesses have been great partners we have had communication with them via email.

But how is it being enforced?

We have had visits from cal osha and other state licensing that have done some educational visits.

We do outreach and educational approach so if we have anyone that calls in we try to reach out to them and offer them any resources they needed as for chappel.... kristian: what comes next for you?

Chappel: just wait for the go ahead there's nothing else we can do it's hard for small businesses that can't come back but we don't have a choice and do what we gotta do and just wait that's the hardest part.

We have to do what we can to protect others and do our part and not get anyone else sick but we will get through it we did before and we will again.

Kristian: chapel says the hardest part is not being able to help her clients but she is staying optimistic and is looking forward to the day she can reopen her door again.
