There are three phases to the plan that the board of education could approve - they include both in classroom and online instruction for all grade levels- "tonights special called board meeting, we will be re-opening plans for the 2020 2021 school year" parents in henderson county want a choice for their childrens' education when schools are set to re-open in august - many parents pushing for online learning - others depending on the in classroom education - "sup.

Marga stanely presented the options we have for school, the regular in classroom instruction, virtual academy, and the nti, the non traditional instructional" taylor duncan has four children - three of them attend eleelementary school in henderson - duncan and her husband work full time - the mother of four say's her children fit better in the classroom - "i think going back to in person school is good, i think if they keep the distance and the guidelines set everything should be fine" duncan says she also supports online education for children who understand the computer software - "i think online learning is good for the parents who are able to be there constantly to help them, a lot of kids dont have internet access" teachers and parents - say questions are still looming - surrounding social distancing in hallways - school entrances - cafeteria lines - restroom breaks - and - extra curricular activities - school personnel say their working to put extra measures in place - "we are following all the guidelines from the ky dept of education, on how to place all the tables in the cafe, all the desks in the classrooms, and making sure we are following all safety guidelines" the kentucky department of education predicts that more students will enroll in online learning this coming school year - with online registration set to close in a few weeks - school officials say enrollment numbers will be better calulated the first of august.
